Protect your bicycle by registering it with the city police. Registering your bike will greatly assist in its recovery if stolen. To register your bicycle call the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300 and ask for Community Services.
Other ways you can protect your bike from theft is to purchase a bike lock. Use a good quality lock such as a hardened steel "U" shaped lock, or a hardened steel chain and padlock. Lock your bike and both wheels to an immovable object that cannot be easily cut or broken. To prevent loss of accessories such as lights and bags you should detached them and take these objects with you when you leave your bicycle unattended.
Rotary Fest Parade
A Success! After two weeks of planning and decorating, the four summer students here at the police station created a wonderful float for this year's Rotary Fest Parade. We all enjoyed the sunny weather and smiling faces that day and we are looking forward to next year!
