Theft is also known as stealing. Stealing is, in general, the wrongful taking of someone else's property without that person's permission.

People steal things like vehicles, money, clothing, games, bikes, food, and school supplies.

Why Do People Steal?

People steal for many reasons. Some of these reasons include jealousy, greed, peer pressure, poverty, and sometimes even just for the thrill or the adrenaline rush.

If you get caught stealing you may be charged with theft, attend court, and end up with a criminal record. You will loose the trust of those around you and you may be forbidden to enter certain places from which you have stolen from.

Staying Safe

Anyone can be a victim of theft. Always make sure to lock your house doors whenever you leave. If you are old enough to drive and either have your own vehicle or drive someone else's make sure you always lock the doors, even if you are just running into a store for a few minutes. Never leave any personal belongings and/or valuables in your vehicle unattended.
