It is both very simple and utterly luxurious. It was built in by a meticulous Dutchman, Henk Mulder. We will be back! Swim olympic lengths in our clean, cool and freshwater front yard. We felt very lucky to be on beautiful Gumbaynggirr land, with its incredible rainforests, mountains, and waters. It is private but constructed so you can still enjoy your rainforest surrounds. We definitely felt the Winter chill, but Tahnee and Melissa took great care to make sure we were cosy Kirsty was away when we visited. Precious natural places are increasingly rare in the world. The property is beautiful and secluded, and close to so many beautiful waterfalls. There is a dining table in the room and we have a fridge in our downstairs laundry that you are welcome to use. We also have a room below the River Room with a queen sized bed. The bathroom is nearby. So much weathered timber so the place had a friendly feel, reminiscent of holidays years ago, in the shack on Stradbroke Island - but miraculously, at least in our experience, without the massive spiders! Nearby Valery trails offers horse riding. Kirsty and George were so hospitable and kind! Without doubt, we'll be back: We cooked delicious food using goods from the kitchen garden, and returned home with a heaving bag of the juiciest citrus fruits picked from the trees on the property. We encourage you to soak it up; relax, slow down, tread lightly. It is detached via a walkway from our main home. It is a truly stunning walk and close by is a longer established boardwalk to the beach from Urunga township. We loved having a fire one night in the fire pit, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and also visiting local Bellingen with its many cafes, restaurants, and a great bookshop. The scent of orange blossom and warm lemons drifted across us all day and was completely intoxicating - the fresh juice we indulged in, warm off the tree, felt zinging with vitamins - just glorious. We swam brrrr in the creek after a jog up the road so few cars - another attraction! Just remember they close early compared to the city and might require bookings at peak holiday times. Your wonderfully drenching shower, basin and toilet is along a short walkway.
